Which origin and destination search criteria can I use?

Modified on Thu, 28 May at 4:28 PM

The origin and destination fields support several levels of geographic granularity — from a specific airport all the way up to a continent. You can also mix and match between the two fields to suit your search.

Searching by airport

To search for a specific airport, you can enter any of the following into the origin or destination field:

  • IATA code — the three-letter code, for example LHR for London Heathrow
  • ICAO code — the four-letter code, for example LSZH for Zurich
  • Airport or city name — start typing and a dropdown list of matching options will appear automatically for you to select from

Searching by region

For broader searches, you can select a geographic area from the dropdown list. The available levels are:

  • Continent — for example, Europe or Africa
  • Country — drill down from a continent to a specific country
  • State — for example, Alabama within the United States
  • Metro group — for example, selecting London will return results for all airports serving the capital, not just Heathrow

Combining criteria

Origin and destination criteria can be mixed freely. For example, you can search for all routes from a specific airport to an entire continent — such as all services from Ouagadougou to Europe — by simply selecting the appropriate level in each field.
